Update - August 9, 2005:

SEMEN AVAILABILITY

Due to an unforeseen family emergency, we will not be collecting semen from Wednesday, August 10 to Wednesday, August 17.  Your understanding and support is greatly appreciated.

We have a number of clients waiting for their first semen shipments - please ensure that you are keeping us up-to-date with your mare's cycle.  With the strange weather we've experienced this year, we have been having many challenges settling mares.  I have spoken with a number of stallion and mare owners as well as veterinarians alike, and all are reporting an average of 3-4 breedings before mares are settling.  We have had much luck with live cover this year with 3 out of 4 mares settling on their first cover.  We have not been as lucky with A.I. thus far, so please keep this in mind as there is a good chance that your mare will need more than one A.I. collection this year.

We tentatively have clients booked until October this year.  This is only an exception as we were planning on closing our breeding shed in September.  As a result, we are limiting the number of mares that we will be breeding for the remainder of this year.  We may take mares based on special circumstances, but at present, we are no longer taking any bookings for 2005.

NEW ADDITIONS

We are thrilled to announce our most recent broodmare additions: Iris, a palomino Anglo-Trakehner who was bred to Medallion and confirmed in foal just last weekend, and Jamaica, an imported buckskin Swedish Warmblood mare that arrived on our property late last week and will be bred to Medallion on her next heat cycle.

Both of these mares come from outstanding European bloodlines.  Foals from both of these mares will be for sale.
