Spring
has sprung and luckily with it came a few decent days where I could snap
some new photos of Medallion. He's looking spectacular with his
golden coat. He was all nicely braided as well after attending the
American Warmblood inspections. At the inspection, Medallion's top
score was for his head and neck, and second best scores were for his
shoulders, freedom of reach, articulation, elasticity and expression of
his trot. Our 21-year old mare, Cheyenne, also performed
fantastically given her age. She showed Medallion how a real pro
does an inspection and had top marks in her confirmation despite the
gradual effects of age on her body. We are very proud of our
horses.
The
first few intro pages of the website have also been updated with a new
look, so if you have time, feel free to peruse the home pages at www.superiorhorse.net.
A new video will be in the works shortly as well. I am planning on
breaking Medallion in the next month or so and will hopefully use some
footage of him under saddle. Also, I will be setting up a
free-jumping chute that will also be used on the video.
TRIP
TO EUROPE
I will be away in
Europe from May 19 and returning June 1. During that time, if you
need to contact the stables, please do so by contacting Nancy Woodley
either by phone at 419-759-2042 or e-mail, n-woodley@onu.edu.
Nancy will try her best to answer any questions you might have and ship
semen if required. Please keep in mind that Nancy is a full-time
university professor and might not be able to return your call until
later in the evening.
For semen
shipments, we can collect until 7:00PM for next day delivery, so don't
fret if you haven't heard from her all day. But please remember
that she might not be able to coordinate our team for collection if
adequate notification is not provided. Please do your best to
provide us at least 24-48 hours notification prior to requiring shipped
semen.
