Well, the cold
weather seems to be upon us and we all know what that means... breeding
season is just around the corner. We're already on our way to a
great breeding season for 2005. Thank you to all who have
confirmed breeding to Medallion - he'll be a busy boy! Not to
worry though, there is still plenty of time to get your Breeding
Contracts in for those who haven't done so yet. Breeding season
will tentatively begin in April and close in September. We will
always try to accommodate anyone requiring an extension as best as we
can.
VIDEO
AVAILABLE!
As I had mentioned
in the previous newsletter, we purchased a new video camera. After
much waiting for the weather to clear, paddocks to dry, and fussing with
cables and computer crashes, we finally have a new video of Medallion.
I will be sending videos out this week to those who have already made
the request. If you would like a copy, please e-mail me with your
address. The videos are available as a CD to be played on your
computer (CD-ROM). If you need VHS, you'll have to hold out a
little longer until I can figure out how to do the conversion.
Love technology!
Please keep in
mind that the paddocks are a bit muddy in the video and Medallion is
lighter because of his winter coat. He was enjoying himself quite
a bit at first as he was showing off to the other horses and his
audience on the sideline. But after half an hour of work, all he
wanted was for that annoying whip to stop bugging him so he could come
over and get some pets for being such a good boy!
NEW
E-MAIL
Please be advised
that we have changed our main e-mail address. Recently, my e-mail
address, stables@superiorhorse.net, found it's way onto a massive
virus-spaming account. Currently, I receive in excess of 100
virus-containing e-mails EACH DAY that are luckily quarantined by
Norton... so far. To protect your computer, and mine as well, I
have changed our business e-mail to stable@superiorhorse.net
(singular spelling of stable's'). In order to prevent this from
occurring again, I have removed the active links to any e-mail addresses
from the website (the user would have to cut and paste the e-mail
address into their mail program).
Prior to this
massive virus attack, I had also set up a "fake" account
for AAA@AAAAA.COM. I had been
told that if my computer were to be infected, this would stop the spread
of the virus by e-mail as the aforementioned e-mail address is invalid.
I would suggest that you do the same to protect your e-mail contacts
from a similar fate as my e-mail address.
I apologize for
the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
