A WINDY ACRES
FIRST!
Our Iberian Warmblood
mare, Vistosa, has now completed her show season with outstanding results!
She had been shown in 3 separate divisions in the Canadian National 'A'
Jumping Circuit: The 4-Year-Old Jumper Development Series, Beginner Jumper,
and Jr./Amateur Level 1 Jumper.
At the end of her
season, Vistosa was jumping 1.15m or 3'9" fences and spreads with great
success (photos on the website at
www.superiorhorse.net/vistosa.html). She had competed against
up to 51 other beginner to advanced horses and riders, including
members of the Canadian Olympic Team. Vistosa was extremely successful in her first year of
showing with with many clear rounds and placements in the top ten.
In her last show of the
season, Vistosa showed us what a champion she is and received FIRST and
SECOND place in her two classes respectively. We are so very impressed
with her willingness to please, her love of her job, and her "been there,
done that" attitude at only four years of age. We will be breeding her
early in 2005 to Medallion, then continue to show her in the National
Circuit in 2005. She will enjoy a well-deserved break in 2006 when she
has her first foal.
A
NEW TOY!
We've just purchased a
new digital video camera! We'll be putting new photos of most of our
horses on the website shortly as well as some newer videos of Medallion.
Hopefully it will stop raining so we can get some half-decent footage before
the golden boy becomes the muddy boy.
