2008
FOALS ON THEIR WAY!
We
have created a new webpage to host our first annual Name
the Foal Competition for our foals due in 2008. The
naming rules for the foal's particular registry appear below each
foal on the webpage. We encourage you to submit as many name
suggestions as you wish. We will select a number of finalist
name suggestions that will be posted in early 2008. One name
for each foal (3 names in total) from the finalist suggestions
will then be selected based on popular votes once the foal is born
and gender is confirmed. Winners will receive a $100 gift
certificate to the horse supply store of their choice. We
will also draw for another $100 gift certificate from all of the
entries we received that were not selected as finalists.

We
are eagerly expecting 3 beautiful babies next year.
|
|
|
|
Our
first foal is due May 9 and is out of our imported Dutch
Warmblood mare, Waltilde,
and is by the spectacular Dutch Hunter stallion, Popeye
K. This foal will have main Dutch (KWPN-NA) Hunter
papers. The pedigree of this foal is absolutely
unbelievable with Voltaire,
Indoctro,
Nimmerdor,
Ramiro,
Marco
Polo, Cor
De La Bryère and Almé.
You'd be hard pressed to find another foal with a pedigree
like this! "Tilly" may be bred back to
Popeye K in 2008.

Our
second foal is due May 27 and is out of our Anglo-Trakehner
mare, Irissari,
and is by the Dutch stallion, Consul.
This foal will have main Dutch (KWPN-NA) foalbook papers.
This foal has a number of great jumper and dressage names in
its pedigree and has a 50% chance of being buckskin or
palomino. Fetal sexed to be most likely a filly.

Our
third and final foal is due June 25 and is out of our
gigantic 17.2hh gorgeous bay sabino Holsteiner mare, Olé,
and is by the talented Hunter stallion, Cabardino
(Holsteiner). This foal will have main Holsteiner (AHHA)
papers and also has an outstanding pedigree with Fax I,
Caletto II, Ladykiller,
Landgraf
I, Cor
De La Bryère, Caretino
and Carpaccio.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for a good deal of
chrome! Fetal sexed to be most likely a colt. We
will most likely not breed Olé back in 2008
as we would like to focus on competing her in 2009.

2008
BREEDING SEASON - BOYFRIEND SELECTION

|
|
We
still plan on breeding Jamaica
(imported buckskin Swedish Warmblood) to
Olympic Concorde
(KWPN). We only have one more shot at this so we're
hopign to get it right! We're hoping for another colorful
cutie like Bali
but with some heavy-hitters in the pedigree including Voltaire
and Marco Polo. This
foal would have a 50% chance of being palomino or buckskin, can be
registered KWPN-NA or with SWANA and will be offered for sale in
utero, colt option only.

We
will be breeding also
in 2008. We are still undecided as to her potential
boyfriend - we had a son of Briar lined up but he is now only
available via frozen semen and unfortunately, Luna cannot be bred
with frozen semen due to reactions to the extenders used. We
are considering breeding her back to to get a full sibling to
as he is proving to be such an amazing foal - so laid back, calm
and cool about everything and has impeccable confirmation and
suspended gaits. We're also considering a newly-imported son
of who also appears to have great jumping and
dressage talent. Stay tuned! |
