"B"
IS FOR "BOYS"... "BIG BOYS"!
We
are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of our final Medallion foal
for 2006... and yes, it's another BOY! We had 6 boys this year so
"B" is definitely for "Boy".

Medallion
(German Warmblood) and Jamaica
(Swedish Warmblood shown on the right) outdid themselves with the
arrival of "Bali", a gorgeous, leggy SABINO PALOMINO
(confirmed by DNA) Warmblood colt born on August 5th at 3:30AM.
Already, Bali's legs are almost as long as big brother, Boeneros,
who, at 6 months of age, appears to have an expected height at maturity
of 16.3-17.0hh! Bali is going to be a BIG BOY. There are

Page.
Bali
would make a Dressage enthusiast's dream come true with Bernstein
761 and Marduc in
his pedigree, but he should also excel in jumping with strong sires such
as Impuls, Almé x 2, Wendekreis,
Domspatz, Grande,
and Ferdinand as ancestors.

Sabino
is a very rare color in warmbloods and we didn't even know
Medallion carried this gene until we met Bali. Bali can
be presented to the American
Warmblood Society (AWS) at any age, and/or the Oldenburg
Registry of North America (ISR/OLD NA) and/or the Belgian
Warmblood Breeding Association (BWP/NAD) at 3 years of age.
MARE

We
still haven't given up hope on Clair
de Lune yet, but she was bred again and we are waiting
patiently and hoping that 3rd time is a charm. If
she did not take this last time, it's unlikely that we
will continue attempts to breed her. |

We
also had to re-breed Irissari
(“Iris”) our Anglo-Trakehner, who was at around 3
months in gestation when she started showing signs of
interest in Medallion. We're not too upset as this
is Mother Nature's way of ensuring that their foal will be
born healthy. Iris has conceived the first time with
each live cover to date so we are anticipating that she
will not have any issues and provide us with a beautiful
foal a little later next year.

A
big congratulations and thank you goes out to Katie
Clark of Michigan, USA who not only purchased Perfect
Music with a breeding to Guaranteed Gold, but also
purchased Watch the Lady's 2007 foal
by Guaranteed Gold in utero. Katie has a rare
white sabino JC Thoroughbred Stallion of her own and will
hopefully have a few nice dilute mares to breed to her
stallion in the coming years. Thank you for supporting
our breeding program, Katie!

THE
MOST IMPORTANT BOY, MEDALLION
|
Medallion
is now home from his training and showing in Training
Level Dressage. We have new photos from Medallion's
first Dressage competition online as well as a short
video. Medallion did very well considering it was
his first outing and given that most of the other horses
he competed against had been showing for a good portion of
the year, we were pleased with his performance. Click

Just
a reminder as well, our breeding shed closes on OCTOBER 1,
2006. Medallion will be available by Frozen Semen
only in 2007. |
