Last
weekend, SuperiorHorse's latest addition, Jamaica, the buckskin
imported Swedish Warmblood mare by Bernstein, under the expert
guidance of Stephanie Grenert, won 3 out of 4 of their classes at
the OSD Down Centerline Dressage Show (USDF/ USEF) in Delaware,
OH. This was Jamaica's first outing since we purchased her
and she did not disappoint. On their first day of showing,
they competed at the Training Level and came out with a 3rd in the
first class and won their second
class. The victories continued the following day when the
team competed at the next level, First Level 1. They entered
3 classes of which Jamaica won at least two classes (we don't know
the results of the 3rd class as we left early - results of the 3rd
class will be mailed to us). The judges loved Jamaica's
|
movement and the team received the third highest score of
the entire day across all divisions (Training to Prix St. Georges)
with a 61% for their efforts!
A
big congratulations to Stephanie and Jamaica. They will
compete in their next Dressage show in the Cleveland, OH area from
November 18-20 before the conclusion of the 2005 show season. As
a quick FYI - In Canada, First Place ribbons are red
and Second Place ribbons are blue.
This is the exact opposite in the USA. So for our Canadian
readers, the photo above is a US First Place ribbon.
LOST
ADDRESSES
Recently,
we received a very malicious virus that wiped out all of our archived
e-mails. Luckily, our e-mail addresses weren't lost.
However, if you had sent your mailing address prior to September 2005
requesting a new video of Medallion, please resend your address as it
was destroyed by the virus. As
for the video of Medallion, although it is fantastic at a small
resolution, once enlarged it becomes very pixilated. We have been
unsuccessful with enhancing the image, but we will continue to send the
videos as requested. We will be purchasing a digital camcorder
shortly to alleviate the problem. Until then, videos are available
in both CD-ROM format and DVD. MEDALLION'S
MOVE & SHIPPED SEMEN ACROSS BORDERS Medallion's
arrival to Canada has been postponed by 2 weeks until we can complete
the paddocks and riding ring at our new Keur-Wood Stables
facility. He will now be arriving the week of October 24th. Once
in Canada, we will be shipping semen across the border to the US in 2006
when he is not standing at our Windy Acres facilities for the few months
as posted on our website. I have spoken with the US customs as
well as other breeders in the area and they assure me that they seldomly
if ever have any difficulties or delays with Canada/US semen shipments. If
you would like more information on the steps we've taken to expedite
semen border crossing, please feel free to contact us.
