NEW PHOTOS AND VIDEO!

New photos are now available for our new mares, Iris (Palomino Anglo-Trak), and Jamaica (Buckskin Swedish Warmblood).

Check out their pages for great new shots of these two fantastic mares.  Both have been bred to Medallion for 2006 foals.

Also, we now have a new video of Medallion that includes a segment of him free jumping.  This was his first time in a chute, and to make it less traumatic, we set the oxer at just over 3'0", but as you can see, Medallion is actually jumping the height of the second standard that is SIX FEET TALL!  Ata boy!  There are two teaser videos you can download from the website.

If you would like a new video of Medallion, please send me an e-mail your mailing address and I will forward a copy of the video immediately.

MEDALLION'S FIRST PASSENGER

On Labor Day weekend, I finally had time to get Medallion ready for his first passenger - me.  I took my time tacking him up, put on his saddle and bridle without any fussing, and took him out to the paddock.  I longed him for a little while, then, mustered up enough nerve to try and back him for the first time.  He was such a good boy!  No fussing, no shifting, no anything.  He stood there very calmly as I mounted.  We walked around the ring half way, and then I dismounted without any drama.  Yeah, Medallion!  We repeated this two days later with the same result.  When breaking young horses you always prepare for the worst - and then you let out a sigh of relief when they turn out to be very sensible about the whole ordeal just like Medallion was.  I wouldn't expect anything less from such a well-natured stallion.

UPCOMING SHOW SCHEDULE

Due to our very hectic schedule and move to the new farm, Vistosa has yet to be shown this year much to my dismay.  I do, however, have plans to show her in a mini-Prix (Jumping) at the end of this month.  Results will be posted.

Also, Jamaica will be shown at a few USDF Level 1 Dressage shows next month under the expert guidance of Stephanie Grenert.  We wish the two of them much luck in their competitions.

2006 BREEDING SPECIAL

Our 2005 Breeding season is coming to a close and we will no longer be collecting any semen or standing Medallion after October 8, 2005.  He will be coming to Milton, Ontario to begin his training for the 2006 show season.  He's enjoyed a very warm summer down in Ohio and now he'll have to learn an entirely new schedule of working under saddle.

In the interim, we will be providing a very special breeding agreement whereby should you choose to pay Medallion's stud fee in full before December 31, 2005, you can book him at his 2005 introductory stud fee of $500.00 USD.  Some conditions apply.  Please contact us for more details.

Until next time, happy horsing!
