Double Take is a very well-built Dutch Warmblood filly with a great neck and top line, superb confirmation and long straight legs.  We decided to call her "Violet" as a barn name in tribute to her dam, Irissari or "Iris".  Violet is a strong filly with an inquisitive and super friendly personality.  Violet is an absolute pocket pet and thinks people are just fantastic and loves to greet people for pets and scratches and will give baby goober kisses in return.  She is turning an 

amazing chocolate liver chestnut color, has matching hind half stockings and a dozen or so white hairs on her forehead that make up a tiny little star.  

Violet has an interesting pedigree with highly successful dressage and show jumping ancestors.  Her sire, Consul, was the 2004 USEF Top Ranked Jumper Sire and competed and won at Fourth Level dressage.  Consul is also the sire of the international show jumper, Judgement ISF, and with his rider, Olympic Team Gold Medalist Beezie Madden, won the 2005 CN International $1,000,000 Grand Prix, won 5 Grand Prixs in 2004, and was the KWPN-NA 2003 FEI Horse of the Year.  To date, the duo have won over 1.5 million dollars.

Grandsire Nimmerdor was the 2000 "The Stallion of the 20th Century" in the Netherlands and to this day holds a high position on the USEF Jumper Sire Rankings.  Preussengeist *E* (*E* = Elite) sired multiple dressage offspring that successfully competed in Prix St. Georges.  Great grandsire Donauwind *E* also sired successful dressage progeny but is known more for the success of his son Abdullah, who was a member of the 1984 US Gold Medal Olympic Team in show jumping and received a Silver Medal in the Individual competition as well.  

This filly has a wonderful, versatile pedigree that should allow her become a serious dressage and/or hunter/jumper mount.
